Innovations in water use are happening all over the country, including in the arid Southwestern United States. Check out the video library below for a glimpse into all the ways water champions are working to make water use more sustainable and efficient.

Pima County Pure Water Brew Challenge

What is the AZ Pure Water Brew Challenge? Pima County's Southwest Water Campus team won the $250,000 New Arizona Prize: Water Innovation Challenge prize for developing the most innovative and inventive market-based, technological or entrepreneurial solution to advance the sustainability of its water future.

Water Reuse in Minnesota and California

The video profiles two very different examples in which water reuse technologies are used to dramatically reduce the farms' water footprint, thereby helping to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the operations. In St. Paul, Minn., fish and plants are grown together using aquaponics. In Monterey, CA, recycled water is distributed to 12,000 acres of farmland.

WateReuse Foundation Project of the Year - Napa, California

This video showcases a recycled water application in the area of agriculture including use in farming operations, crop irrigation and other agricultural practices. The project should demonstrate how the use of recycled water increases the sustainability of farming and irrigation practices, conserves energy and when used for irrigation may provide a portion of the nutrients needed by crops such as nitrogen, phosphorus and micronutrients.
